この曲について
This is a free accordion arrangement of two traditional Slovenian folk songs which feature some articulations and ornamentations in the ‘Oberkrainer’ style of Alpine folk music and includes bass runs. In my video demonstration I add further ornamentations in this style.
“Sva z ljubco se pobotala” (“My Sweetheart and I Made Up”) innocently follows a couple who have reconciled. They plan to marry, eat the bread made from their own wheat, make wine from their own grapes, raise a child and tuck them in at night, and care for their farm animals.
“Še, še en krajcerček ‘mam” (“One, One More Coin I Have”) on the other hand, tells the story of a man who gives a coin to a driver to take him to the city, another to his lover’s mother to gain access to her daughter’s room, and finally, one more coin to his lover herself.
Why these folk songs? They’re cute, happy melodies which are easy to learn, and capture the essence of Slovenian folk music, which is rooted in rural Slovenian life. While the Avsenik brothers, Lojze Slak and others helped popularize Oberkrainer music as Slovenia’s defining folk style, songs like these continue to be performed by Slovenian folk bands and vocal groups to this day, but could also eventually become forgotten to newer popular folk songs.
Thanks, Phill. Hope your new business is working out. Your are making a difference in the accordion world.
I enjoy listening to Philip’s playing, but I can only play the less difficult songs he posts. He has very challenging arrangements, it ta is es a long time for me to master it. It’s beautiful music.
Thanks for the song.
Best regards,
Erno
